Under the new Pharmacy First scheme, patients between the ages of 16-64 years of age can access treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections from their pharmacist, without the need for a GP appointment.3 Your pharmacist will decide the best course of treatment for you depending on the severity of your symptoms. For patients who do not meet the criteria for an antibiotic prescription, Effercitrate Tablets are a suitable option to help relieve symptoms and provide comfort.
